cause harm, while disinformation is deliberately created to deceive and manipulate the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"\ud83d\udd0d\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/t60\/2\/16\/1f50d.png\"> Main Types of Disinformation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Satire or parody: Humor is often used, typically without the intent to harm, but it can still mislead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-False connection: When the headline or caption does not match the actual content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Misleading content: Selectively uses information, such as cropping photos or cherry-picking quotes and statistics, to create a distorted view of the facts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-False context: Genuine content is shared with misleading contextual information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Imposter content: Impersonates legitimate sources to deceive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Manipulated content: Genuine content is altered to shift public perception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Fabricated content: Entirely false content created to deceive and cause harm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"\ud83d\udca1\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/tdb\/2\/16\/1f4a1.png\"> Understanding these tactics is the first step towards identifying and combating gendered disinformation!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Center for Equality and Inclusion is part of the Road to Inclusive Narratives project, implemented by ALF, aimed at combating the spread of misinformation and
